Hello all! I landed at JFK in New York on Tuesday September 20th and today I have finally had the chance to upload some photos. I’m here with the lovely Jessica Lopez, so all photos of myself, I give credit to her unless otherwise stated. I moved here to pursue my career in fashion and so far, in a nutshell, I AM IN LOVE! This city is everything I wanted and more. Although I have not found a job in the industry, I am assisting a previous general manager of mine at Lexington Brass. Today was my first day, most of my time being spent in the corporate office located in Chelsea. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the NY metro area, Chelsea is a dream! If you live in Chelsea you are rolling in mula… or have been residing there forever… or you’re just really lucky and I’m really jealous. It’s such a beautiful area! Any who, I trained in the office all day and return again tomorrow for another go-around. I’m exhausted… someone send me some Nike’s in a women’s 10 a.s.a.p.! aye aye aye… my poor feet. I can’t tell you how much walking I’ve done in the past week. I’ve gotten lost a numerous of times! However, the scenery is always so pleasing. My legs are incredibly sore, hopefully I’ll adjust sooner than later. Don’t quit miss California yet, but I can’t wait for my family and friends to visit ;) Jessica and I will be rooming with international students in an apartment we found in Washington Heights. The area is also known as Dominican Heights because of all the Puerto Ricans in the neighborhood. The people are so kind, and my Mexican Spanish cannot compare to their quick lisps. I am in no position to sign a lease right now so if anyone visits I have no couch to offer :( Nonetheless you should check into a hotel and visit anyways :)
